Since accomplishing a huge personal goal of mine and moving to NYC, I haven’t had the chance (read: money) to explore the world like I used to. But when a close friend proposed the idea of a group trip for her 30th birthday, I figured a milestone like this called for an adventure.

Almost intuitively, we all decided that Arizona was our destination. The mix of hiking, driving, and watching marathons of scary movies in our cozy Air BnBs ended up being the perfect way to celebrate in a way that was very personal and, at times, spiritual (not to mention, very Crossroads-esque).
